It's Officially Christmastime!

Let's start this post out with a random picture I found on my phone today. You might be wondering why Anthany is holding a knife or you might be wondering why we are both smiling about it? I can't say for sure.. I think Anthany was making me a late night dinner when I wanted to take a picture and this is what you get! haha anyways...
So the last few months have been crazy! I started my new job at The Retreat Salon and Tanning in Rexburg. It's so much fun and I love doing hair again. It's been really good being busy with that. Anthany is finishing up his first... and last semester at BYU-I. He has decided to transfer to ISU. He found out more about the Athletic Training degree at ISU and he is really excited to pursue that. He will be going to the Idaho Falls campus for as long as possible and most likely in about two years we will have to move to Pocatello.. yuck. Can't say I'm looking forward to that.
My favorite tradition that Anthany and I have is every year since we first started dating, we have gone to the cabin for Halloween. So we drove up the night before Halloween and watched movies. When we woke up in the morning, there was so much snow. And it wasn't stopping.. all morning we kept an eye on the weather hoping it would stop. We made an awesome breakfast, played some pool, watched movies and the snow just kept coming. So we decided we would rather be safe than sorry and head home before our car got stuck and we were stranded.
Before we left, Anthany made me this cute snowman! He didn't even have gloves! I think it turned out pretty cute. I'm hoping it will still be there when we go back to the cabin again :]
For Thanksgiving this year, we went to Anthany's Grandma's house. She made an awesome dinner and it was fun hanging with the family. After dinner, we went to Walmart to help Anthany's parents do some Christmas shopping. I absolutely hate Black Friday. I hate that it makes everyone lose their minds. I saw this mom practically tackle these little girls trying to get a Just Dance game. I hate the pushing and the stress and all the people. It's just ridiculous. So we got what we needed and got out of there pretty quickly. We finished out the night one of our favorite ways, cuddled up watching The Office in front of the christmas tree I set up two days ago [I just couldn't wait till after Thanksgiving to set it up, I was too excited].
Because I love Christmas so much, it's hard for me not to treat Thanksgiving as something that is just getting in the way of my Christmas decorating. So to show a little respect to Thanksgiving, I will say I truly am thankful and I know how blessed I am. I'm thankful for my awesome family and I love my close relationships with each of them. I'm lucky to have the amazing in-laws that I have! Who support us through everything and are always down to hang out and make us laugh. I'm grateful for my job where I'm doing what I love and working for such a great company. And most importantly, I'm thankful for Anthany. I know I brag about him a lot, but he absolutely deserves it!
Sorry if you are sick of all the Thanksgiving posts, I know that I kinda am. But at least I posted mine on my blog and you chose all by yourself to come and read it :] Now that I got that out of the way, it's finally Christmastime! Happy Holidays everyone!

Anthany's Birthday!

I guess since it's been almost two weeks since Anthany's birthday I should get around to blogging about it. It was kind of a bummer that I had to work all day and Anthany had school so we couldn't really start celebrating until about 6. We met up with his family and grandparents at Carinos for a delicious birthday dinner.
I'm not sure why this picture came out so blurry? But dinner was great. And Anthany even got free dessert!
Anthany subtly suggested to his mom that he would really like a fun birthday cake this year. So Veronica made Anthany a cake modeled after his absolute favorite food.. Tacos!!!
Anthany was so surprised and excited. And the cake tasted amazing. We opened presents and play Scattergories at Anthany's Grandma's house.
After we left, we went home and our friend Jeremy came over with his girlfriend Casey. We watched World War Z and sat around the coffee table eating the taco cake. It was super yummy! It was definitely a low-key birthday, but we had fun.
This past month has been so super hard. I'm so thankful for Anthany. He has never made me feel bad when I've let the house get messy, or forgotten to do laundry, or when I was overly sensitive. He just stepped in and picked up the slack. While things seem overwhelming right now, I can't help but feel grateful as well. He is the best example of selflessness and service and love. I hope you had a happy birthday, Anthany! Thanks for being my rock through the hardest of times!

Summertime Chaos

I really hate when I slack so much on blogging. So this we will be a long post! I think I last blogged in April which is sad cause SO much has happened since then. Anthany finished school, we both quit our jobs, we packed up our apartment and headed back to Rigby, we moved in with Anthany's parents, we found new jobs, we bought a car, and we moved to our apartment in Ririe. With tons of fun crazy parts in between! Moving away from Boise was kinda scary. We were settled and comfortable but we were so excited to be back home. We couldn't wait to be with friends and family again and make a fresh start in our hometown. I wish I would have taken a picture of our tiny moving truck.. It was seriously way smaller than we ever imagined. And I felt sick to my stomach that there was no way everything would fit. And unfortunately I was right haha. But with some super careful arranging, we got the majority of stuff to fit. I just had to promise Anthany we would get him a new and better desk and chair haha. So I guess I will just post some pictures and update!
I decided to keep my job with Dillards. But I can definitely say I miss working in Kids Shoes with this cute girl! The day this picture was taken we each ate like 25 pieces of gum. Then we had customers come to buy shoes and Ashlynn was trying to talk to them with this huge wad of gum in her mouth. I almost died laughing. But I really like working at the Idaho Falls Dillards too. Luckily at both places I have been so blessed with great co-workers.

Packing was exhausting and I absolutely hated it. But as always, Anthany was encouraging and helpful. We got everything done in basically three days. We tried to be really thorough with cleaning. We even tried to clean the blinds in the bathtub but then I accidentally broke one. So we ditched those efforts and considered the apartment good enough.
When it was time to leave our first apartment, I cried my eyes out. I just walked from empty room to empty room and cried. We had so many amazing memories and I got very sentimental about the whole thing. I know Anthany thought I was being ridiculous, but he was really sweet and tried his best not to laugh at his little sobbing wife. The drive was uneventful and everything arrived safely to Rigby.
One of my first nights back, I hung out with my big sister and she had a huge adorable calendar in her kitchen. I just had to have one too. So at like 11 at night I made this cute calendar! And I love it.
We also went to the drive-in as soon as possible. The drive-in was a huge part of Anthany and I dating. And we missed it so much while we were in Boise. So it was a blast to go again. I just really think drive-ins are the most wonderful creation ever.
I got to spend quite a bit of time with the McCabe's foreign exchange student before she went back to the Netherlands. Sophie is such a sweet girl and I had a blast with her. I love that she is down to do whatever at anytime. I miss her like crazy! This picture is the first of many many drybed floats of this summer.
Same as last year, we began celebrating my birthday a couple days before my actual birthday haha. Anthany took me up to the cabin along with a few of our friends. We had a blast hiking around, playing pool, watching movies and eating great food. Anthany's friends had to leave early but it was great having time with just the two of us as well.
Anthany also surprised me with these cute cupcakes and I had no clue! My husband is so thoughtful. I could just brag about him all day.
I was kind of bummed cause EVERYONE had to work during the day. Anthany took me out to lunch on his lunch break and then our friend Jeremy and his sister took me on a drybed float trip! Then I went home and got cleaned up and we went to dinner at Grandma's house! Arlene made me a delicious dinner and surprised me with a birthday cake!
Anthany was quite the photographer. I probably have like 30 pictures of me with the cake haha.
So my birthday was great and I definitely felt spoiled! I can't believe I'm 21. Time has just flown by but it has been so great.
Another great part of being back home is hanging with my cute friend Brittanee! [and sister-in-law Kayla]. So this picture is from yet another float trip haha
I've taken up snap chatting lately. This picture is one of the treasures that I captured.
We went to Rigby Lake for the big Independence Day firework show. It was SO windy. Wind and sand is a terrible combination. I spent most of the night laying with my head hidden in the blankets. Luckily the wind finally died down and we were able to explore a little and we came across our old high school buddies! I still just love my great group of friends.
I just wasn't feeling this whole fireworks thing. And I'm not sure if the five minutes of fireworks were worth all the terrible weather. it was okay though.
I spend the fourth with my cute husband of course! We started the day in Menan with the parade and checking out the booths. Then we went up to the airport to welcome home Andy from his mission! We went to a super yummy barbecue for Andy then headed up to Idaho Falls for the fireworks! Jeremy saved an awesome spot right on the river and the fireworks were incredible as always. I LOVE the fourth of July. We had so much fun.
We went on another cabin trip with our friends Brandon and Katelyn. My favorite part of that trip is we all decided we wanted to go hike around but Katelyn only had flip flops and her Miss Me jeans! But she just didn't even care and hiked around with us anyways! Love that girl! I always love going back to where we got engaged :] It brings back sweet memories every time!
We went to church in Ririe for the first time! I'm not completely sure how to feel about this ward yet.. We are definitely young little babies haha. But we will see how it goes.
We bought a car! It's a 2003 Honda Accord and I absolutely love it. It's been such a great car so far. Let me just brag for a minute. Leather seats, sunroof, ipod hookup, dvd players, heated seats, super clean.. yeah I'm crazy about it. Plus it's just been SO nice having two vehicles again and not be sharing one.
My family came to town and visited for like three weeks. So during that time I was basically either working or squeezing in every second with them that I could. We ate lots of dominos, played Bang over and over, stayed up super late, floated the drybed [of course], and just hung out together. I miss them like crazy when they leave, but it was so great having them here!
My sweet Momma took us all to see Despicable Me 2!
Shopping for their school clothes was fun and all, but Preston was much more entertained with the little kid toys.

I used to fight with this girl like crazy when we were younger. I'm so glad that we are so incredibly close now. I love how alike we have become and how I can trust this girl with anything. Love you Kenna boo boo!
We had a late night movie night with friends and of course it was a blast. We are truly blessed with the friends that we have. We try to spend time with them as much as possible!
WE ARE ALL MOVED INTO OUR NEW APARTMENT!! I just love it so much. I plan to post some pictures as soon as everything is all set up how I want it. But Anthany got me these flowers as a welcome home present :]
Our friend Jeremy has a little pet hedgehog and my sister Krista is obsessed with him. So before she left we had to have Jeremy over so she could play with him. Krista wants a hedgehog SO bad now. I don't see why she loves him so much.. I think he is cute but he definitely freaks me out.
I think that sums everything up! I'm going to try to be better about posting so I don't have to do these huge posts. But the last few months have been amazing. I'm so sad that summer is almost over! It has been a great one! This month, Anthany and I will celebrate a year and a half of marriage! So crazy! But things have been going great and I'm still absolutely loving being married to my sweet hubby! I hope everyone else has had a great summer like ours!

Easter and Everything Else

I am a blogging loser. I hate when I go so long without blogging then I'm behind on everything! So what have we been up to? Welllll....
I've been trying to spend as much time as possible with this cute boy. Being the broke college students that we are, that involves a lot of Redbox movie dates, midnight Maverick runs, entertaining myself while Anthany does homework, and lots of cuddling on the couch after a long day of work.
I'm not gonna share how many bags of these little treasures I have enjoyed in the last month. Hands down, my all time favorite treat. But the best bag of these I got, was the one Anthany surprised me with when I came home from work in tears, stressed and homesick. He always knows just what I need :] I never give him enough credit, poor guy got stuck with a big baby haha
Anthany was so excited to FINALLY try the new Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco [jeez long enough name?]. Anthany can't believe it, but I still prefer the Nacho Cheese one over the Cool Ranch.
I'm trying to quit drinking pop, particularly Mountain Dew, but it's proving to be quite the challenge. Especially since Maverick keeps offering us free ones!
Spending quality time together. It's pretty typical for me to watch my TV shows that Anthany hates while he games. It's a win-win for both of us. Unless the Internet starts acting up, then we have to decide who has to stop what they are doing haha
In the past month I have discovered Snapchat! It's a fun way for me and my best friend to send tons of pictures of ourselves to each other throughout the day. Now I don't have to ever wonder "What does Brittanee look like right now?" Cause I always know :] Also, work is KILLING me with boredom lately. It's been super slow but starting to pick up again finally! So this picture shows exactly how I have felt this whole last month.
I was so excited when Anthany and I found this Wreck it Ralph video game in Redbox. Anthany hates playing Wii and it's always a challenge convincing him to play with me. However, since we are both obsessed with Wreck it Ralph right now, he agreed to play it with me! But of course, it turned out to only be one player! So he lucked out this time.
The highlight of my month was my very best friend Brittanee Peterson, and Anthany's very best friend Rusty Robison came and visited us for the weekend! I was bummed I had to work quite a bit while they were here, but we still had so much fun! We ate at this sketchy restuarant called Bar Grenika that was shown on Drive-ins, Diners, And Dives! It was cool to try something new but I didn't think the food was too fantastic. Definitely a one time thing for me. We also had fun playing Wii Sports, catching Rusty up on movies he missed on his mission, making a feast for Sunday, and staying up SO late laughing and talking. I had two favorite parts, #1 We went to Denny's!! I don't know what it is about their French Toast Slam but it is SO fantastic [I'm sure me saying how much I love Denny's makes you doubt if you can trust me about the Bar Grenika review]. #2 We only have one couch in our living room so having friends over kinda stinks. So we pulled out the mattress from the spare bedroom and we all just snuggled up on that! Of course, Brittanee snuggled up to me, and Anthany snuggled up to Rusty :] haha
Anthany went on a facial hair growing kick which FINALLY ended. I thought this mustache was so creepy and hilarious. Luckily, he honestly only had it for maybe ten minutes until he agreed with me.
We got some free delicious milkshakes from Maverick! Also, I like this picture cause you can see that my hair is getting so long again! Yay!

Finally, we dyed Easter eggs! Yeah, you don't have to tell me that it is immature, I have already heard that from like 25 people. I think it is SO fun plus it's cheap. So we did it :] I found the dye kit I wanted right away, it was just a basic kit that came with TWELVE colors. Then, I made the mistake of showing Anthany a Batman kit that I saw. So then of course he really wanted it. So we just got both haha.
Before this picture, I had never hard boiled eggs before. I put the water on the stove and let it start boiling then, right before I plopped the eggs in, Anthany said he thought that was wrong. So I called my sweet mother-in-law and she taught me the correct way. I was so paranoid that the eggs were gonna break so I sat and watched them the whole fifteen minutes. Because of my watchful eye, only one broke! Which I thought was pretty impressive :]
 Anthany thinks I'm a nerd :]
Anthany really could have cared less about dying eggs haha He was more interested in watching Nitro Circus. But I really appreciate him doing it with me anyways :] I had a blast.
 Yay Easter eggs!
Our Easter was pretty low-key. We went to church in the morning which was really nice. Because of work, I haven't been able to go for an entire meeting for awhile so I was pretty happy. When we got home, I was exhausted so I slept for like two hours. When I woke up, Brittanee sent me a Snapchat of how tan she was getting sitting outside so I immediately asked Anthany if we could go for a walk around the greenbelt. It was beautiful. As we are coming down to our last two months in Boise, I'm trying not to get emotional about it. I'm excited for what's ahead of us, but I can't say I'm not sad about what we are leaving behind. I will probably bawl my eyes out when we leave our little apartment for good. Ah.. anyways, moving on haha.
 Anthany's cool Batman eggs.
This was one of his last eggs and he was SO ready to be done so he just scribbled all over it and then threw it in a dye. But I thought it actually turned out pretty cool haha
And my eggs! Pretty much nothing too special haha. I do like my sticker egg though :] Anyways, when we got home from our walk, our house stunk like eggs so Anthany insisted we threw them all away right then haha. We threw together some Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner [I'm not sure why I didn't plan out a nice Easter dinner, I didn't even think about it!] then just relaxed the rest of the night!

So that is what we have been up to! I apologize for the huge and random post! I like to read back and remember stuff like this though :] I am loving the sunshine! We can't wait for there to be water in our pool again, then it will officially feel like summer! I'm trying to get back into running again but it is kicking my butt. Anthany HATES running but he is trying to stick it out with me. We are doing so well! For the next little while, I'm going to be keeping busy with working and trying to get everything packed up and ready for the move. Anthany is going to be working and finishing up this semester of school. He is definitely excited for summer vacation!
