Fingers Crossed!

It is so late and I should most definitely be sleeping right now.. but I have been needing to update this thing for awhile and I haven't had the time [or when I've had the time, I've had things I would rather be doing haha]. So now at 1:16 am on a wednesday morning, I will blog :] haha. I will apologize ahead of time for my lack of pictures, my camera along with pretty much all of my other belongings, are in a chaotic mess of stuff sitting around waiting for us to have a home. It's been pretty hectic!

So my last post I was so optimistic about this move. And it really has been great. This last weekend we journeyed to Boise and I got the job I wanted at the Boise Hair Company [such an amazing salon! I'm thrilled to be part of the team!] and we went on a long apartment hunt. Going into our hunt, I had a pretty specific guideline of what I wanted: Basically big enough for the little bit of furniture we have,  not a sketchy neighborhood, no mold or disgusting carpet, people don't have to go through my bedroom to use our bathroom, and I had my fingers crossed for a washer and dryer in our unit. Anthany's one big request was that we were as close to the BSU campus as possible. Easy enough, oh and not too many stairs to carry all of our furniture and stuff up. After the first few apartments, I knew we were in trouble. They were so much smaller then what I was expecting. In one of them, I was debating if we could live without a couch cause there was no way it would fit! Finally, after almost giving up hope, we found such a great apartment. Anthany was excited that we are so close to campus, and I'm excited I actually get full size appliances in my kitchen AND a dining room! There is a pool, on-site laundry [yeah I had to give up on my washer & dryer in unit dreams... someday..], TWO bedrooms, and we had to laugh that there is a Big Juds right across the street. We will definitely have to be careful not to make eating there a habit! So we just are waiting to here back from the apartments, and the waiting game sucks! I never imagined my biggest dream in life would be to just have everything finally put away!

Other big news.. I finished off my last week at Salon Evolution. I feel so bad I couldn't have been there longer. I really loved the people that I worked with! Jumping into the salon my first time was scary. I was super lucky that a couple girls there always had my back and were willing to answer any questions I had. I'm sure going to miss that place. Hopefully the people in Boise are just as supportive cause I'm sure doing hair is just like any other job, you really never stop learning. While I'm on that topic though, I found a blog that I absolutely love! I kind of hate her, just because she does everything on her blog: hairstyling, recipes, blog help, crafts, yeah.. you name it, But I love her too cause she is so talented! haha So click here if you are into that kind of stuff..
My only other big news is I'm going to Colorado this weekend!! My sweet Aunt and Uncle are flying me out there to see them and my family! I'm even going to be running a 10K with my sister, Kenna, and my cousin, Anna. You are probably wondering if I have been training for it.. and I most definitely have not. But we plan on having fun with it anyway! I should definitely get working on finding my camera asap! Well that's pretty much all I have for ya for now.. and I'm sure I have quite the audience to read this so late at night :]. Sorry this was so long and just a lot of words. I honestly hate blogging when I don't have pictures to go with it. But thank you for reading! And everyone keep your fingers crossed for our apartment :]
I did find these super old pictures on my computer from when we were pretty much just barely dating. Good thing we are so much more mature now and would never take such embarrassing pictures... but I thought I would share haha. This girl is going to bed!

Goodbye Dome Home

Anthany and I got a call early this morning that my grandparents are going to be coming home early off their mission in the Phillipines due to my Grandpa's poor health. So we got a few days notice that we needed to pack up and get out. While it's nice that my mowing lawn and watering plant responsibilities are over, I'm definitely going to miss this place. It's been so fun living right on the river and having our own space. But honestly, it never really felt like our own. It was never our own furniture or decorations and we were always trying to cram our stuff into any available space. Not to mention we were sharing the house with a ladybug community. And even though these last three months have been great, I think we are ready for the next chapter in our lives. After the initial stress of "where will we go?" wore off, Anthany and I both became really excited about this situation. We were planning on just hanging around here, waiting anxiously to move to Boise in August. But now we're trying to decide if we can pull off just moving there now. It's definitely too soon to tell what's going to happen, so for now, we will be living with Anthany's family in Rigby. We are sure lucky to have them! :]

Hulk Smash!

This past week I have been working my butt off. I have been running flyers everywhere for the new salon, trying to keep up with cleaning the house, and trying to spend a few hours with Anthany every night. Now that really doesn't sound very busy, but trust me it's been crazy. Some things we have done this last week are.. 1. We saw The Avengers and we absolutely loved it! Now we frequently have superhero battles around the house. Typically Anthany is the Hulk and I'm Black Widow :] 2. We went to Grandma's house for dinner which I always love cause it's one less meal I have to cook and it is always so delicious! 3. I started my new job. I really love all the people I work with. It's an awesome group. The word is still getting spread about the salon so it's pretty slow right now but we are all confident it's going to pick up soon. Especially since we have a big grand opening on saturday! Z103 is going to be there giving away prizes and we will be raffling off great deals for the salon. I think they are even doing free massages that day. So everyone feel welcome to come :] 4. We finally had some time to do some yard work! Anthany drove the lawn mower and I sat on the little floor part of the lawn mower. Real good bonding experience!
One quick weird story... I decided to go interview at Pizza Pie Cafe and it was truly one of the weirdest experiences of my life. First, on the application, they have you draw a picture of yourself AND write a poem about yourself on the back. Then during my interview, the lady answered the phone at least three times and I would just sit there and wait while she talked. But the weirdest part was she saw on my application that I was working at a salon and after that she pretty much just told me how to be a better hairdresser. Then she told me they weren't even hiring. It was the weirdest interview ever, I wouldn't even call it an interview. It was more like I went and saw a career coach or something. Anyways, that's all we have going on for now :] We both want it to be summer SO bad we can't even stand it. So we just always keep our fingers crossed for nice weather. Well off to work :]

Introducing Stormy :]

I feel like I have been so crazy busy lately but I have nothing really worth blogging about. I guess I could post that I start working at Salon Evolution tomorrow and would love to do everyone's hair... but I really feel like everyone is sick of hearing about that so I won't bring it up haha. One exciting thing is this..

We have a cute puppy at our house!!! Her name is Stormy and she was Anthany's family pet but they really didn't have the time to give her all the attention she needs so we have her now :] She is so much fun and pretty well behaved.. I'm really not a dog person, or even an animal person at all haha but she has been good. I love that when I let her out of the garage in the morning so she can go to the bathroom, she waits for me to go inside cause she is too much of a lady to pee in front of me. I love her stubby little legs and chubby body [chubby dogs are just the cutest!]. I love how she will follow Anthany everywhere he goes like a little shadow. I just love her already! The only bad thing is my poor cat is so scared of her that she has relocated to the roof of our house! I'm not sure how to get her to come down. It's tough to be a cat lady when my cat is living out of my reach :]
Also, my life has been pretty full lately of a computer game from my childhood named Roller Coaster Tycoon. I really don't know why I'm so entertained by it lately but I just can never get bored of it. It's a real problem. However, I am starting to consider that maybe my true calling in life is to own an amusement park :]
My last big news is I get to go to Colorado for my cousin's graduation at the end of May! I seriously can't even wait. It's going to be great to be there on her big day AND get to see my family and all my cousins AND run the BolderBoulder which is the funnest race ever. So exciting!
If you are wondering what Anthany is up to lately, he is just so busy with work. His nice tan that I'm so jealous of truly reflects his long hours of hard work in the sun everyday. On the weekends, we try to spend as much time together as possible and do fun things. This last weekend we went to Wal-Mart and bought FOUR new movies [buying new movies is our biggest weakness] and watched them all that night. Of course, we had to make a midnight run to Maverick for snacks and energy drinks. We also spent Sunday at my Aunt Audrey's house which was awesome cause she made us dinner. I'm in love with her sweet little girls. And I love that the baby is finally starting to learn to say my name! But that's really all we have been up to lately. Really just nothing too exciting.

Weekend Getaway

One of my absolute favorite things in the world to do is to go to Anthany's families cabin. I love that it's my cabin now too :] I love that there is no cell reception there and no internet and no neighbors and no jobs. It is simply heaven. This last week Anthany took me, Kenley, and Bo Briggs up to the cabin for some quality bonding time. While we were there I definitely become more of a pool playing expert. I wish I had more talent at it like all the boys did; I pretty much just tried to hit the ball as hard as I could and hope that something good would come from it haha. It was really fun. We played the game of Things too which is honestly the funnest and most hilarious game in the world. I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. But the most common activity while we were there was trying to scare each other and Bo definitely won. Here are some pictures from our nature adventure hike :]

It was alot more pretty than my crappy pictures give it credit :]
Kenley LOVES photography. You can almost always find him with a camera in his hands.
Nice greenish water :]
I love that these two last pictures were taken in pretty much the exact same place but the first one was from when we had JUST begun dating and one from now. It's so crazy thinking back to the beginning of our relationship and where we are now.. who would have thought! So overall it was an awesome trip. There will definitely be several more cabin trips this summer :] Now I'm gonna get mushy for two seconds cause I adore my husband :]
Top 5 things I love about this man :]
1. We have the same sense of humor so we are really good at making each other laugh
2. We are always having fun and doing new things. We love playing catch, going on trips, being outside, hanging with friends, going out. We aren't a boring married couple, at least not yet :] haha
3. He teases me for anything and everything from messing up cooking to the TV shows I watch to the way I say "crayon". It makes me work alot harder to not make mistakes cause I know he will ever forget about it.
4. He loves to surprise me. Sometimes it's coming home with a new movie to watch, sometimes its a delicious grilled cheese he makes me when I'm too busy to make something, sometimes its a new football that's easier for me to throw cause it fits in my small hands. Little surprises make life so much more fun and exciting.
5. He supports my dreams and ideas no matter what. Which sounds corny, but really is a difficult thing to find, especially since my ideas are not always realistic. I know without a doubt Anthany will stand by my side no matter what.

Alright mushy stuff over :] haha But people ask what I love and it's really too much to list, but that's a good start. I absolutely love my life and being married. :] Now time for family game night!

Anthany and I have been so busy playing with friends lately. Both of our best friends Brittanee Peterson and Kenley Briggs were on spring break last week so we spent tons of time with them. The boys bought clay pigeons for us to shoot and I'm proud to report that I did not shoot one of them :] haha But the funnest thing was this:
Honestly such a fun game! Brittanee and I played for hours haha. We have watched a ton of movies, ate out a couple times [including our traditional weekly Pizza Hut trip with Kenley haha] and played so much catch that most of our arms are still sore. I wish I had more pics from this last week, but you will just have to enjoy the few that I have. I hope you are all having a great week!
Everyone so focused haha
"best friend almost matching gaming outfits" haha

I am so lucky to have this girl!

A Little More Personal

So I keep getting "tagged" and I feel bad that I keep ignoring everyone that's tagging me haha so I finally decided to quit being a fun wrecker and join in the game :] So here are the rules...

Rules
1. post the rules
2. post a photo and 11 random facts about yourself
3. answer questions from tagger
4. ask questions for those you wish to tag
5. tag

Here we go :] Starting with the 11 Random Facts!
1. I have several TV shows I love to watch including The Office, Desperate Housewives, Dancing with the Stars, America's Best Dance Crew, Saturday Night Live, America's Next Top Model, Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, and 16 and Pregnant to name a few. I don't know why I'm so easily entertained by TV haha
2. I'm an extremely light sleeper. Anything and everything wakes me up during the night and sometimes I wonder if I ever even sleep at all haha.
3. I am a picky eater and I really just can't help it. I'm mostly picky about toppings like syrup, gravy, salad dressing, mayo, that kind of stuff.. I hope I get over it one day.
4. One of me and Anthany's favorite things to do is do our best Lil Wayne impersonations while we listen to his songs. We make up our own lyrics to his songs too and they are just as weird and nonsense as his lyrics. I laugh my head off every time.
5. I'm really afraid of masks. I have no idea why, but I scream and cry like a little girl whenever someone is wearing one. That's why I absolutely hate Halloween and will probably never accept trick-or-treaters at my house :] haha
6. I love eating at Denny's. It might even be my favorite restaurant now that TGI Fridays shut down.. I love eating breakfast especially super late at night. And Denny's is ALWAYS open :]
7. I get bored with my hair really easily. So I love changing it from brown to blonde over and over again. But I'm always too nervous to cut it haha
8. I love things I can play outside by myself like croquet and horseshoes. I've always been good at entertaining myself and I love practicing alone so when I play with people I look like I'm really good :]
9. I have a terrible habit of playing with whatever jewelry I'm wearing, especially rings. So I always have to wear a ring on my right hand that gets constantly dropped and lost to keep myself from messing with my wedding ring.
10. Floating the drybed is probably my very favorite thing to do.
11. My favorite holiday is the 4th of July. I absolutely love the fireworks, parades, barbecues, hot weather, early morning 5K, Menan celebration, all of it. I think it's SO much fun!

Here are my questions from Jessica :]

1. What is one of your favorite childhood memories? Probably going on fishing trips with my dad down the Salmon River. It was really fun having time for just the two of us and I love catching big fish. Plus it's SO pretty down there!
2. What was the funnest date you have ever been on? Ohh that's a tough one, I've had so many good dates! My first official date with Anthany though was so much fun. We went to Inception, saw the Blue Angels jet show, went out to eat, swimming at Heise, had a huge campfire, then went to a midnight movie premiere. It was a blast.
3. What is your favorite thing about yourself? I love to play. I don't think I will ever be too old or too grown up to just have fun.
4. What was your favorite talk from conference this past weekend? I love Elder Holland's talks always. He is such an incredible man.
5. What is a dream you have for your life? I want to be able to stay at home with my kids and be there for every single little moment of their lives.
6. What was your favorite subject in school? History, if I had a good teacher. I just thought it was the most interesting subject.
7. What is your most embarrassing moment? Ohh boy.. one of my most embarrassing moments was probably a couple days ago. Let me begin by saying I have never ever used my emergency brake before haha Anthany pulled the emergency brake up on the car and so when I went to drive it, and the car was barely going 15 mph when I was pretty much flooring it with the gas, I was so confused. Then the car started to stink so bad kinda like burnt rubber. So I went back to the house and Anthany told me what my mistake was. I felt so incredibly stupid.
8. Nysnc or Backstreet boys I loved Nsync.. especially Justin Timberlake :]
9. Why did you decide to make a blog? Because every married woman has a blog :] haha I wanted our friends and family to be able to keep up with what we were doing and I think it will be fun to be able to go back through all these old memories one day.
10. What is the best piece of advice you have ever received? Don't go talk to other people about any of me and Anthany's problems. It's always better to just talk things out together and not get anybody else involved.
11. What is your favorite dessert? I love Cocoa Bean cupcakes probably way too much.

My questions for my taggers...
1. What was your worst date you have ever been on?
2. What's one of your proudest accomplishments?
3. Who is one of your biggest role models?
4. What's your favorite thing to do?
5. What is your dream job?
6. If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go?
7. Which celebrity would you like to meet?
8. What's your favorite movie?
9. What is your most prized possession and why?
10. What was one of the scariest moments of your life?
11. Where do you see yourself in five years?

All done :]
I tag Brittanee, Aubree, Brianne Price, Danielle Anderson, and Savanah Coon!
Everyone have a wonderful day!

-Lindsay.
