I really hate when I slack so much on blogging. So this we will be a long post! I think I last blogged in April which is sad cause SO much has happened since then. Anthany finished school, we both quit our jobs, we packed up our apartment and headed back to Rigby, we moved in with Anthany's parents, we found new jobs, we bought a car, and we moved to our apartment in Ririe. With tons of fun crazy parts in between! Moving away from Boise was kinda scary. We were settled and comfortable but we were so excited to be back home. We couldn't wait to be with friends and family again and make a fresh start in our hometown. I wish I would have taken a picture of our tiny moving truck.. It was seriously way smaller than we ever imagined. And I felt sick to my stomach that there was no way everything would fit. And unfortunately I was right haha. But with some super careful arranging, we got the majority of stuff to fit. I just had to promise Anthany we would get him a new and better desk and chair haha. So I guess I will just post some pictures and update!
I decided to keep my job with Dillards. But I can definitely say I miss working in Kids Shoes with this cute girl! The day this picture was taken we each ate like 25 pieces of gum. Then we had customers come to buy shoes and Ashlynn was trying to talk to them with this huge wad of gum in her mouth. I almost died laughing. But I really like working at the Idaho Falls Dillards too. Luckily at both places I have been so blessed with great co-workers.
Packing was exhausting and I absolutely hated it. But as always, Anthany was encouraging and helpful. We got everything done in basically three days. We tried to be really thorough with cleaning. We even tried to clean the blinds in the bathtub but then I accidentally broke one. So we ditched those efforts and considered the apartment good enough.
When it was time to leave our first apartment, I cried my eyes out. I just walked from empty room to empty room and cried. We had so many amazing memories and I got very sentimental about the whole thing. I know Anthany thought I was being ridiculous, but he was really sweet and tried his best not to laugh at his little sobbing wife. The drive was uneventful and everything arrived safely to Rigby.
One of my first nights back, I hung out with my big sister and she had a huge adorable calendar in her kitchen. I just had to have one too. So at like 11 at night I made this cute calendar! And I love it.
We also went to the drive-in as soon as possible. The drive-in was a huge part of Anthany and I dating. And we missed it so much while we were in Boise. So it was a blast to go again. I just really think drive-ins are the most wonderful creation ever.
I got to spend quite a bit of time with the McCabe's foreign exchange student before she went back to the Netherlands. Sophie is such a sweet girl and I had a blast with her. I love that she is down to do whatever at anytime. I miss her like crazy! This picture is the first of many many drybed floats of this summer.
Same as last year, we began celebrating my birthday a couple days before my actual birthday haha. Anthany took me up to the cabin along with a few of our friends. We had a blast hiking around, playing pool, watching movies and eating great food. Anthany's friends had to leave early but it was great having time with just the two of us as well.
Anthany also surprised me with these cute cupcakes and I had no clue! My husband is so thoughtful. I could just brag about him all day.
I was kind of bummed cause EVERYONE had to work during the day. Anthany took me out to lunch on his lunch break and then our friend Jeremy and his sister took me on a drybed float trip! Then I went home and got cleaned up and we went to dinner at Grandma's house! Arlene made me a delicious dinner and surprised me with a birthday cake!
Anthany was quite the photographer. I probably have like 30 pictures of me with the cake haha.
So my birthday was great and I definitely felt spoiled! I can't believe I'm 21. Time has just flown by but it has been so great.
Another great part of being back home is hanging with my cute friend Brittanee! [and sister-in-law Kayla]. So this picture is from yet another float trip haha
I've taken up snap chatting lately. This picture is one of the treasures that I captured.
We went to Rigby Lake for the big Independence Day firework show. It was SO windy. Wind and sand is a terrible combination. I spent most of the night laying with my head hidden in the blankets. Luckily the wind finally died down and we were able to explore a little and we came across our old high school buddies! I still just love my great group of friends.
I just wasn't feeling this whole fireworks thing. And I'm not sure if the five minutes of fireworks were worth all the terrible weather. it was okay though.
I spend the fourth with my cute husband of course! We started the day in Menan with the parade and checking out the booths. Then we went up to the airport to welcome home Andy from his mission! We went to a super yummy barbecue for Andy then headed up to Idaho Falls for the fireworks! Jeremy saved an awesome spot right on the river and the fireworks were incredible as always. I LOVE the fourth of July. We had so much fun.
We went on another cabin trip with our friends Brandon and Katelyn. My favorite part of that trip is we all decided we wanted to go hike around but Katelyn only had flip flops and her Miss Me jeans! But she just didn't even care and hiked around with us anyways! Love that girl! I always love going back to where we got engaged :] It brings back sweet memories every time!
We went to church in Ririe for the first time! I'm not completely sure how to feel about this ward yet.. We are definitely young little babies haha. But we will see how it goes.
We bought a car! It's a 2003 Honda Accord and I absolutely love it. It's been such a great car so far. Let me just brag for a minute. Leather seats, sunroof, ipod hookup, dvd players, heated seats, super clean.. yeah I'm crazy about it. Plus it's just been SO nice having two vehicles again and not be sharing one.
My family came to town and visited for like three weeks. So during that time I was basically either working or squeezing in every second with them that I could. We ate lots of dominos, played Bang over and over, stayed up super late, floated the drybed [of course], and just hung out together. I miss them like crazy when they leave, but it was so great having them here!
My sweet Momma took us all to see Despicable Me 2!
Shopping for their school clothes was fun and all, but Preston was much more entertained with the little kid toys.
I used to fight with this girl like crazy when we were younger. I'm so glad that we are so incredibly close now. I love how alike we have become and how I can trust this girl with anything. Love you Kenna boo boo!
We had a late night movie night with friends and of course it was a blast. We are truly blessed with the friends that we have. We try to spend time with them as much as possible!
WE ARE ALL MOVED INTO OUR NEW APARTMENT!! I just love it so much. I plan to post some pictures as soon as everything is all set up how I want it. But Anthany got me these flowers as a welcome home present :]
Our friend Jeremy has a little pet hedgehog and my sister Krista is obsessed with him. So before she left we had to have Jeremy over so she could play with him. Krista wants a hedgehog SO bad now. I don't see why she loves him so much.. I think he is cute but he definitely freaks me out.
I think that sums everything up! I'm going to try to be better about posting so I don't have to do these huge posts. But the last few months have been amazing. I'm so sad that summer is almost over! It has been a great one! This month, Anthany and I will celebrate a year and a half of marriage! So crazy! But things have been going great and I'm still absolutely loving being married to my sweet hubby! I hope everyone else has had a great summer like ours!
