We love to have fun :]

This last week has been pretty busy. But I have no pictures from it so I've kind of been dragging my feet about posting. So I will just update what's been going on and everyone can use their imaginations to picture it :]

Anthany has been so busy with work. I find myself spending most of my time sitting at home. It stinks not being able to have him around all the time and I definitely get bored. But it's been good too cause 1. it's much easier to keep the house clean haha 2. It's fun to surprise him with dinner when he gets home and not have him sit at the counter and laugh at the weird ways I do my cooking 3. we always make sure to make his days off really fun.

Last friday, he took me on a "super date". We went to see the Hunger Games [which was so so so good, I'm reading the books now!], ate at Carinos, brought home our new couch, went swimming at Green Canyon, then we got Cocoa Bean cupcakes and hot chocolate :] It was such a fun day. But at Green Canyon, they had the water really low for some reason. So when you were standing in the pool, you had like two feet of wall next to you so you couldn't see out of the pool. It was way weird but kinda cool.

Last night, we had our two best friends Brittanee Peterson and Bo Briggs over. While the boys threw a baseball, I taught Britt how to play one of my favorite games, croquet :]. She was definitely a natural haha. Then we all went down by the river and practiced skipping rocks. Then we would take huge handfulls of rocks and throw them in the river at the same time and it sounded so cool! Yeahhh... we are easily entertained haha. But doing all that stuff made me so excited for summer! It's getting pretty warm outside but it's definitely not where I want it to be yet.

Our last big adventure was we played Rambo with a huge group of people Saturday night. For those of you that don't know, Rambo is a game where you assign a destination and everyone has to run there without being seen by the people assigned to drive in the cars and try to find you. It's a game you play at night. It was really fun, but it also might have been the clumsiest night of my entire life. I tried to sprint across the street before the car came, and I guess I didn't realize there was a ledge so I fell right in the road. I skinned up both of my hands, my hip, and my knee haha. After that I hurt so bad, I didn't really want to play anymore but I didn't want to be a bad sport either. So for the rest of the games I was the slowpoke that got caught over and over and over. On my last run, I tried to run down into the canal, and I ran into a little tree branch and it hit me right in the eye. So I lost my contact and couldn't see anything... after that I just rode in the car haha. So it was Anthany, Bo, and me in the car and we didn't catch a single person! I don't think I could have lost at that game anymore than I did. I don't know what my deal was haha

Well that was pretty much our week.. sorry it's kind of all over the place and boring, I have a nasty cold and can't really think straight. Anytime I'm really sick, I always miss my mom like crazy. Maybe cause she always knew how to make it better :] But here is a sweet picture from the wedding of my beautiful mom and me for you to enjoy :] Have a great day!

one BIG problem

I want to begin by saying that Anthany and I really are lucky, and I am not at all ungrateful. Living in my grandparent's house while they are in the Phillipines is truly a blessing. We live on an amazing property RIGHT by the Snake River, we have absolutely zero neighbors in our view, we have three more bedrooms than we actually need, and a fun pool room. But there is one huge problem.......

DISGUSTING!
We are dealing with a huge ladybug infestation!! That picture is just the inside of the door... they are all around the door, and around pretty much all the windows. So a sport had to be created in the McCabe household....
what a trooper!
Being the geniuses that we are, we decided to grab out the vacuum and get those suckers! They were actually kind of hard to catch so it was a pretty fun game. After we had ALL of the bugs gone. The vacuum started to smell so bad. So after some research, I discovered a really fun fact about ladybugs.. When they are stessed or scared they give off a smell that attracts MORE ladybugs. So minutes later our windows and door were once again covered with ladybugs. The vacuum ladybug sport was a big failure... so we are just gonna buy some bug poison. I guess we are lucky we are only having a harmless ladybug infestation, it could be giant hobos or something worse.

We love listening to Skrillex with our skullcandies!!
This was the day we went grocery shopping for the
first time after being married for over a month! haha
Another fun thing today was my cousin Miriam came over! This girl cracks me up. She picks her nose like nobody I've ever met and she is not embarrassed about it at all!! She wanted Anthany and me to play house with her and I was the "big sister", she was the "mom", and Anthany was "the big baby." haha. I love having her over. Plus the huge mess she leaves behind her when she goes home gives me
something to do for the next hour

Anthany and I are still doing great. Being married is so much fun but it's also so much work. It seems like there is always laundry to do, dishes to clean, and pop cans to throw away haha. It's hard right now cause we are both so anxious and excited to move to Boise! We are tired of sitting around. Anthany wants to be busy with school again and I wanna be working full time in a sweet salon. But we definitely love all the time we have to just hang with each other and our friends. Anyways, I'm interviewing at MasterCuts in the mall tomorrow! So hopefully I will be a working girl soon :]

P.S. Anthany wanted me to add that he is doing exceptionally well on his Xbox game right now and thinks everyone should be impressed with his 18 kills... haha okay that's all!

Blogging slacker..

I am so behind blogging! But these past two weeks have been crazy so I will try and update whats going on. So two weeks ago I was in St.George visiting my family! It was so fun to FINALLY see their beautiful new house and to spend some time with all of them. Pretty much the trip consisted of 1000 rematches of Phase 10, a little bit of swimming, a whole lot of soaking up the warm 70 degree weather, walking around way too much in uncomfortable sandals, eating out a little, and watching my super talented sister McKenna try out for cheerleading. I honestly couldn't be more proud of her. I am so amazed she was brave enough to try out for cheer at a huge school even though she is the new girl. I love my family :] Here are a few pictures of my trip. I tried to update more but my internet is just ridiculous.

We had a little fun doing Kenna's hair real quick for tryouts.
We did some Cheetah nails in her school colors too. The picture isn't the best, but they were pretty cute.

My beautiful mama

Yeah she is definitely outgrowing me haha

This last week my family came back to Rigby with me and spent some time with Anthany and I. We went to the dinosaur museum. It was way fun but the little kids wouldn't really let us read any of the info, they pretty much just wanted to run around. Anthany and I celebrated our one month anniversary last week too! It was nothing too exciting.. he taught me how to skip rocks that day! haha

ANthany and I with his ancestors :] haha
My cute cousin Miriam and I [she really didn't think the museum was very exciting]
The last few days I've just been spending time with Anthany. He took me to see 21 Jump Street which was way super funny! Saturday night we pulled the hide-a-bed [spelling? haha] out of the couch upstairs and we slept up there and stayed up way late watching tv shows and movies. It reminded me of my little girl sleepover days :] haha not that I'm saying Anthany is a girl. Bad comparison haha. Today, we went out to Grandma McCabe's house for dinner. After dinner we played Scattergories and I want everyone to know those McCabes are cheaters!! Like when the letter was J, Anthany wrote down "jragons" for a reptile haha. And Grandma McCabe tried so "sircle" for something round when the letter was C. It was so funny. I love spending time with family. The only other exciting thing going on lately is I finally dyed my hair dark again! I have wanted to do it FOREVER but I wanted to keep my hair blonde for the wedding. Change is so fun :]

P.S. Anthany just showed me a website he found that had a twelve step program called "get your spouse to cook." Punk.

Loving high school sports when you're not in high school is NOT lame :]

We love the Rigby TROJANS!!!!

The last few days have been so fun! We were bummed we couldn't go to state to watch the boys basketball team play, but we found a site online that let us watch the games live. The boys did so good! It was fun to see them win the state championship against our biggest rivals. I insisted that for good luck, me and Anthany wore maroon the whole day of the state championship game and obviously we were successful in helping Rigby win :] haha

My dad came to visit us this weekend! Well... he didn't really come to visit us.. he had business meetings haha but it was still fun to see him! He took us to Texas Roadhouse and we decided to go see a movie. He said he has tried to see Sherlock Holmes 2 three times but has fallen asleep everytime so since we hadn't seen it we decided to go to that one. But my dad slept through it again! haha Anthany and I liked it alot though. It was really good!

Hmm.. when I decided to blog tonight I thought I had alot more to write about.. haha I am excited that I'm going to visit my family in St.George tomorrow for a week!! But other than that.. nothing too exciting is going on. But here are some pictures we took the other day.. Anthany was playing Xbox and I really wanted some attention.. haha

He just was not thrilled to take pictures haha
Thanks for reading! Sorry this was kind of boring.. I will try to make our lives more blog-worthy! :]

Dealing with Little Stinkers..

Little date night :]
Our week has been pretty crazy. Sunday we had dinner with Anthany's family and we watched the Academy Awards. We were pretty frustrated that Hugo and The Artist were winning everything [we haven't seen either of them]. So we watched Hugo to see if it was actually good and it ended up being alright, definitely not better than The Help or Harry Potter... But we aren't going to watch The Artist.. it is a silent film!! And that's just not my thing.

Monday I had a job interview at a salon I was really excited about, but it turns out that I really didn't like it as much as I thought I was going to. However, the salon I interviewed at today I am so excited about and I really hope it goes through. It's called Rapunzel's Salon and Spa and it's opening in Idaho Falls on March 31st. It really is the prettiest salon I've ever seen. The stations we work at are these cute turquoise blue antique dressers!

Anthany was craving Mexican food all day on Tuesday which isn't really my favorite. So I finally agreed that we could go to Cafe Rio as long as we got Kiwi Loco after. It was definitely a good night. But last night was awesome. My Aunt Audrey invited us over for dinner and to play games. She made us a really yummy meatloaf, roasted potatoes, and broccoli. It's always so good to be invited places for dinner. I definitely struggle with cooking haha. I'm lucky to have a really patient and understanding husband who doesn't complain when I make mac & cheese or tease me too much when I ask him to teach me to make sloppy joes :] We taught Anthany how to play our favorite card game Yuker [it's a game that's hugely popular in Canada]. He caught on pretty quick and did great, especially with Audrey sneaking peeks at his hand the whole game and telling him what to do haha. After games, we stayed over there late talking to Kyle and Audrey. They gave us so much great advice about marriage. I love when people with relationships that I admire will give us advice and tips. I just want to know everything about successful marriages that I can :] Being at Audrey's is always fun. Not only cause she is hilarious, but I love her kids! My little cousin Miriam is attached to my hip the entire time I'm there, asking me to play house and to sit by her at dinner and take pictures with her and watch The Backyardigans with her. She is a cutie. But what I really love, is that Audrey's baby Eve loves Anthany! Probably cause he spoils her and he never gets tired of her treating him like a jungle gym haha they are cute together. But they can definitely be little stinkers.

Miriam LOVES taking pictures.
Speaking of stinkers, our last big adventure was with a stink bug last night. Anthany and I do NOT like bugs. So when we went in our room to go to sleep and saw a huge black beetle on the floor, I started freaking out. While I was standing on the stairs squealing and jumping and panicking, Anthany got a broom and swept that stinker out of the room, down the hall, through the living room, and out the door. :] haha Problem solved. But the whole rest of the night we both kept feeling like we had bugs all over us.
